Dr S Nambi is currently Civil Surgeon-Psychiatrist, at Institute of Mental Health/Madras Medical College, Chennai. He is a practising Psychiatrist in Chennai for twenty years, and is a Faculty member at The Institute of Mental Health Chennai for about seventeen years.


Dr Nambi has presented scientific papers in state, regional and national Psychiatric conferences. He is a speaker at various CMEs at state, regional and national Psychiatric conferences. Besides this he has also authored two books on Mental Health.

Dr Nambi is also involved actively with various Psychiatric Societies in India, and is currently the Chairperson, Geriatric Psychiatry Specialty section of IPS, Hon. General Secretary – Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) National body, for the years 2000-2002.
